Located at the heart of the vineyards of Alsace on the famous Wine Route, the 5 Terres Hôtel & Spa MGallery by Sofitel hotel has brought the 17th-century building back to life by blending old-fashioned charm and techniques with modern and contemporary com fort and elegance. Take a moment to relax in one our 27 carefully decorated rooms and discover famous regional wines in our Wine Bar or as you relax in our Spa.

It is a great hotel. Design and comfort are top, service is top, location to tour Alsace and Strasbourg is top. I didn't give it five stars because (1) I found it surprising that the restaurant and especially the bar are not open on Sunday and Monday. Having this hotel located in a small town, means that having an everyday bar (people come to Alsace for the wine!) is a must for a luxury hotel, and (2) the basic room that I took was a bit less spacious than I thought it should be for a luxury hotel.

Absolutely beautiful hotel boutique in the city of Barr in the heart of the alsace wine route. It is a boutique hotel, so around 30 rooms, gives you an intimate feeling on check in, during breakfast and also in the spa area. Food was fresh, local and simply delicious! Service was great, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and beautifully decorated, as well as the entire hotel. There was renovation across the street but the windows are almost sound proof so it didn't even bother us. The only downside is that there is no next door parking, and due to the renovation main road was blocked so that was a bit of a hassle with no valet. It was an inconvenience but a small one compared to the really nice gem of hotel we discovered. I truly recommend!

Excellent designed hotel in the exact Barr center. Small pool in cellar with local spring water. Spa was great. Recommended!
