Madikwe River Lodge

This attractive bungalow complex lies in 75,000 hectares of wild life reserve and is located in a malaria free area of Mdikwe. The complex lies right by Groot Marico River, on the border to Botswana, located 3.5 hours drive from Johannesburg. Renovated in 2003, this hotel includes a main building and neighbouring building, with a total of 16 bungalows. Facilities include an inviting foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe and a currency exchange bureau, as well as an in-house bar and a restaurant offering a selection of culinary delights. In addition, the complex provides Internet access, and business guests are offered several conference rooms. There is a kids' club as well as a laundry service and those arriving by car may make use of the onsite car park. The tasteful bungalows each come with an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer, an indoor and outdoor shower, a direct dial telephone, Internet access, a minibar and a coffee/tea maker. In addition, all the bungalows include a ceiling fan, a seating area and veranda with a view of the river. There is a swimming pool and a sun terrace with parasols in the well-kept outdoor complex. Guests may select their breakfast and evening meal from ample buffets. Lunch and the evening meal can be chosen from a menu.
